The Sports-Leadership Series: The 10 Initiations
A Transformative, Team-Ready Curriculum for Student-Athletes Grades 9–12
The Sports-Leadership Series: The 10 Initiations is a research-aligned, athlete-centered curriculum designed to help student-athletes build the mindset, emotional intelligence, and character needed to lead both on and off the field.
Created for Athletic Programs, Health Education, SEL, Advisory, and Team Development, this series guides athletes through ten intentionally sequenced lessons that move from self-awareness to leadership in action. Each initiation invites athletes to reflect, take ownership, strengthen their mental game, and become a positive force within their team culture.

- Learn how to lead by example and positively influence team culture
- Trust their instincts and play with clarity and purpose
- Reflect on growth and understand their role beyond the game
The Outcome
Student athletes leave with stronger mental resilience, improved emotional control, healthier team relationships, and the confidence to lead themselves and others.
They become athletes who don’t just perform—but elevate everyone around them.
The Sports-Leadership Series is not about creating better athletes.
It is about developing stronger people who naturally become better athletes and leaders.
I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.
